Tomorrow! Friday, September 24th
The Kora Band will be celebrating the release of our new record, Cascades (currently #22 on national jazz airplay charts!) with a rockin’ cd-release party at Jimmy Mak’s in Portland. We’ll be sharing the bill with The Blue Cranes, and I’ll be sitting in on a tune with them as well! Sunday, September 26th
I’ll be performing with one of Seattle’s musical icons- Wayne Horvitz, in his WACO ensemble. The group is at ToST in Fremont (Seattle) starting at 8pm. It’s got some really great players in the band – Wayne Horvitz, Robin Holcomb, Thomas Marriott, Mark Taylor, Byron Vannoy, Jim Dejoie, Tom Varner, Steve Treseler, Eric Barber… a whole mess of great guys- Come on down!
Also – stay tuned for ordering info for my latest release, featuring Slovakian pianist Michal Vanoucek, Mark Taylor, Dave Captein, and Matt Jorgensen; The Sky Cries. Available from Origin Records in mid-October, right before I head off for several European Concerts. I’ll be doing CD Release events in both Portland, and Seattle for the new record… stay tuned for more!
